In my last post, I showed that NOPD had refused to release the results of PIB complaint 2025-0366-P. That case was created in June 2025 and demonstrated systemic abuse of facial recognition technology (FRT) and mass surveillance in New Orleans. As the months passed, it became increasingly obvious that NOPD cannot be trusted to police themselves. As a result, I changed tactics. Instead of filing one large complaint, I would improve my approach. Starting January 2026, I began tediously reviewing NOPD emails provided in response to public records requests. The path forward was to find each individual email where NOPD inappropriately or illegally uses FRT to spy on New Orleans residents. Each complaint is short, easy to understand, and easy for PIB to process.
So far, I’ve documented over 60 instances where NOPD appears to have bypassed New Orleans protections against FRT and mass surveillance. Make your own determinations. You can read the complaints and see the evidence yourself. The details are below.

I will update the public Google Drive share periodically.
