
Matthew Wollenweber (@mwollenweber) is a principal security engineer at a late stage cybersecurity startup. His work spans security operations, incident response, and detection tool development. His recent focus is AI: applying it to security operations and building security tools with it. Over 20 years he has held nearly every seat on a security team: NSA Red Team operator and later lead developer of an advanced network sensor program, senior consultant at Foundstone, and malware analysis lead at The George Washington University. He holds degrees in computer science and mathematics and has presented at DEF CON, DistrictCon, NolaCon, and Shmoocon. Matthew is a New Orleans-based privacy advocate, progressive political organizer, BJJ brown belt, and bulldog rescuer.
